Map Of Canada

*Roll mouse over map for provincial information.

Congratulations! So, you have decided to study in Canada! Canada has consistently been rated as one of the best places to study in a group of the top 10 countries in the world, in a continuous 3 year cycle in the years of 2000, 2003 and 2006, through a study known as PISA.

PISA, otherwise known as Program for international student assessment, is a study comparing the academic progress of fifteen year old students from fifty-seven different countries.

Canada’s Post Secondary Education system has a worldwide reputation for academic excellence, too. Thousands of international students have already come to Canada to pursue their educational goals, and to make friends with Canadian students. You are in good hands if you plan to graduate from a Canadian high school and move on to college or university. You can too!

Education in Canada is a provincial responsibility. In most provinces, the Ministry of Education in each province administers pre-school, elementary and high school education separately from post secondary education.

Go to our Study in Canada section and click on a province to find out more about study opportunities and related educational links, and the lists and resources for each province, or simply double click on the province on the map of Canada above and a new window with information on educational institutions in that province will open up.

If you are undecided on whether studying in Canada is your best option, read our article(s) about lifestyle and the quality of life available in Canada and at a Canadian University. Other issues to consider are the differences between the West and East coast, studying in urban centers or small town, and additional useful information.
