An interjection expresses sentiments in a sentence, and in French, interjections are as common as French loaves in a bakery. More often than not, we hear the phrase “Ooh la la!” without fully comprehending what it means. Did you know that if you say it in an agitated manner, it is the English equivalent to saying “Aw man!”? If the phrase is uttered in an encouraging tone, it means “There, there” and is meant to console one who is feeling down in the dumps. And if you proclaim the phrase in a positive or energetic manner, it means “Oh wow!” or “Great!”

In conclusion, learning basic French is not really tough at all, especially if there are numerous fun elements injected into your lesson. The efforts put into your lessons are minimal and in due time, perhaps this will motivate you to learn all there is to learn about what is touted to be the most beautiful language in the world.
